Congresswoman Horn to moderate Apollo 11 Panel at Science Museum Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY – Congresswoman Kendra Horn, as the House Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee chairwoman, will visit Science Museum Oklahoma for a panel discussion about America's space exploration programs this Sunday, July 21. The event will take place in the museum's Kirkpatrick Planetarium and is included with general admission to the museum. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The panel will focus on Oklahoma's key contributions to space exploration, 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, and about how people, especially young folks, can get into our nation's growing aviation and aerospace industries. Following the discussion, attendees are invited to stay in the planetarium for the show "Apollo 11: For All Mankind,” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic first-ever moonwalk on the Apollo 11 mission. Once the planetarium show concludes, attendees are invited to enjoy the Destination Space exhibit curated by Science Museum Oklahoma, featuring fascinating artifacts including space suits, NASA simulators, a half-scale lunar lander, rocket engines, and much more. Numerous items on display come from the personal collection of Oklahoman and Apollo 10 Commander Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Stafford.
