U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn has met with families after touring some of the homes affected by mold at Tinker Air Force Base.

"I've seen them personally. The conditions that members are living in, it is unacceptable," Horn said.

The first-term representative from Oklahoma said it's a tale of two Tinkers -- one with the innovative work being done and one with public housing problems.

"The best disinfectant for problems is sunshine," Horn said. "So, we're going to shine the light on it."

Horn said she's going to work to shine a light on the problems affecting the servicemen and women at Tinker Air Force Base.

"If we have someone deployed overseas and they're worried about the health of their families and their home, it impacts them and their ability to serve and fight," she said
