Rep. Horn to Host Small Business Assistance Webinar
Rep. Horn continues fight to keep small businesses afloat during COVID-19 crisis

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) announced she will be hosting an online Small Business Assistance Webinar next Monday, April 6, from 5:00PM-7:00PM. Deputy Director John Veal from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Oklahoma District Office will join Congresswoman Horn on the webinar to discuss the process of the economic disaster loans, the new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), and other issues small businesses and nonprofits face during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Small businesses and non-profits have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is critical we provide them with the answers, support and resources they need during this time,” said Congresswoman Horn. “I’ve heard from many small business owners with questions about the SBA’s implementation of the new grant and loan programs. I want to make sure our business community has access to every resource available including the opportunity to ask questions directly to me and the SBA. I fought to pass programs to help small businesses weather the storm, and now we are hosting this webinar to help small business navigate the process.”

Congresswoman Horn fought for inclusion of direct financial support for small businesses in the last stimulus package. As Congress negotiated a stimulus deal, she introduced the Too Small To Fail Act, a bill to help small businesses and non-profits with immediate disaster relief grants and zero interest loans. Some provisions proposed in the Too Small To Fail Act are reflected in the small business relief provided under the third stimulus package, the CARES Act.
