Rep. Horn Launches “Valentines for Vets” Program

Constituents are invited to leave Valentine’s Day cards for veterans at Rep. Horn’s Oklahoma City office

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Today, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5), launched the “Valentines for Vets” program to collect and distribute Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans.

Constituents in Oklahoma’s 5th District are invited to drop off handmade or store-bought Valentine’s Day cards at Congresswoman Horn’s District Office in Oklahoma City, starting today through Thursday, February 13, 2020. Valentines placed in envelopes should not be sealed closed.

“Our Valentines for Vets program is an easy way for everyone in Oklahoma’s 5th District to send thanks to veterans in our state,” said Congresswoman Horn. “Our men and women in uniform have sacrificed so much for our country. Today, is a chance to connect Oklahoma’s veterans with their surrounding community and to recognize them for their service to our country.”

Congresswoman Horn will give remarks at the Valentine’s Day National Salute to Veteran Patients on February 14, at 1:30PM at the Oklahoma City VA Hospital, 921 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104. At the event, Congresswoman Horn and staff will distribute the Valentines cards to veterans.

To participate in the Valentines for Vets program, drop off a card at Congresswoman Horn’s district office Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, at 400 North Walker Avenue, Suite 210, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73102. Constituents should call (405) 602-3074 with any questions.
